Anaheim Ducks forward Leo Carlsson won't face supplemental discipline for the hit on Florida Panthers forward Evan Rodrigues that got him ejected from Tuesday's game, according to The Athletic's Eric Stephens.

Carlsson was handed a five-minute interference major and game misconduct after his shoulder appeared to catch a leaning Rodrigues in the head during the opening minute of the third period.

Rodrigues was forced to leave the contest. He's played a pivotal role for the Panthers this season, shifting from wing to center with captain Aleksander Barkov out for the year. Rodrigues began the game centering Florida's top line between Carter Verhaeghe and Sam Reinhart.

Carlsson is having a breakout season with 18 points in 12 games. He's never been suspended in his three-year NHL career.
