Montreal Canadiens defenseman Kaiden Guhle will miss four-to-six weeks with the lower-body injury he suffered in Thursday's win over the Nashville Predators, the team announced.
Guhle appeared to hurt himself on a noncontact play.
Additionally, forwards Patrik Laine and Kirby Dach are day-to-day with lower-body injuries and won't suit up Saturday against the New York Rangers.
Guhle has tallied a goal and an assist in five games this season while averaging the fourth-most ice time on Montreal's blue line at 19:14 per contest.
The 23-year-old has struggled to stay healthy in his four-year NHL career, never playing more than 70 games in a campaign.
