Islanders' Drouin suspended 1 game for cross-checking Penguins' Dewar
The NHL's Department of Player Safety suspended New York Islanders forward Jonathan Drouin one game for cross-checking Pittsburgh Penguins forward Connor Dewar.
Drouin caught Dewar up high with a retaliatory cross-check with under 15 seconds left in Thursday's game. He was assessed a major penalty and a game misconduct.

Drouin was fined $5,000 in January 2022 for cross-checking Dallas Stars forward Tyler Seguin. The suspension handed down Friday is the first of his career.
The 30-year-old notched his first goal with the Islanders earlier in the game versus the Penguins.
Drouin inked a two-year, $8-million contract with New York in July.
