The Philadelphia Flyers traded goaltender Ivan Fedotov to the Columbus Blue Jackets for a 2026 sixth-round pick, the teams announced Sunday.

Fedotov struggled in his first NHL season last year. The 28-year-old went 6-13-4 and posted an .880 save percentage with a 3.15 goals against average in 26 appearances.

The 6-foot-7 netminder has one year left on his contract at a $3.275-million cap hit. Fedotov already received a $2.5-million signing bonus from the Flyers this summer, so the Blue Jackets only have to pay his remaining $775,000 salary.

Fedotov excelled in the KHL before arriving in the NHL at the end of the 2023-24 campaign. He has a career .921 SV% in 133 KHL appearances over eight seasons, and he backstopped Russia, under the name ROC, to a silver medal at the 2022 Olympics.

The Flyers have $3.6 million in projected cap space after dealing Fedotov, and the Blue Jackets still have over $12 million to work with, according to PuckPedia.
