Los Angeles Kings forward Corey Perry was injured during a skate Friday ahead of the team's training camp, reports Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.

Details of the injury are limited, but Perry will reportedly undergo further evaluation. It's unclear if the Kings will provide an official update before training camp opens Sept. 17, Friedman added.

The Kings signed Perry as a free agent this offseason to a one-year contract worth $2 million plus an additional $2 million in potential performance bonuses.

The 40-year-old winger spent last season with the Edmonton Oilers, tallying 19 goals and 11 assists in 81 games. Perry also added 10 goals and four helpers in 22 postseason appearances during Edmonton's second straight trip to the Stanley Cup Final.
