Winnipeg Jets defenseman Josh Morrissey departed Game 6 against the Dallas Stars after getting tangled with Mikko Rantanen late in the second period.

He did not return for the start of the third.

Morrissey appeared to be favoring his left leg as he exited the ice.

He missed Winnipeg's series-opening defeat to Dallas after sustaining an injury in Game 7 of Round 1 against the St. Louis Blues.

Morrissey led all Jets defensemen in points (62) and average time on ice (24:23) during the regular season. He entered Saturday with six assists in 11 games this postseason.

The 30-year-old has finished in the top seven in Norris Trophy voting in each of the past two seasons.
