Golden Knights' Pietrangelo out for Game 1 with illness

Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Alex Pietrangelo was not in the lineup for Tuesday's Game 1 loss against the Edmonton Oilers due to an illness, the team announced.
Kaedan Korczak entered the lineup in Pietrangelo's place on a pairing with Nic Hague for his Stanley Cup Playoff debut.
Pietrangelo led all Golden Knights defensemen in average time on ice (22:24) during the regular season. He finished third among the team's blue-liners with 33 points in 71 games.
The 35-year-old has tallied 77 points in 145 career playoff games and is a two-time Stanley Cup champion.
Korczak, a second-round pick by Vegas in 2019, recorded 10 assists in 40 appearances this season.
