Toronto Maple Leafs forward Matthew Knies exited Wednesday's 5-1 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets after suffering an upper-body injury.
He exited after throwing a hit on Jackets forward Kirill Marchenko in the final minutes of the second period. Knies fell onto the ice and subsequently collided with the linesman.

Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube didn't have a postgame update on Knies' status, adding that the winger would be evaluated Thursday morning, according to Postmedia's Lance Hornby.
Knies recorded one shot in 13:41 minutes of ice time before departing.
He entered the night fourth on the Leafs with 18 goals and fifth with 31 points in 46 games The 22-year-old missed two games earlier this season with an upper-body injury.
