The Montreal Canadiens slayed a quartet of dragons during a gauntlet in their schedule.
The Habs defeated the Colorado Avalanche 2-1 in a shootout Saturday, beating each of the last four Stanley Cup winners over their previous five contests, all away from the Bell Centre.

The Canadiens' strong stretch of hockey has them within a point of the second wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference.
"Pretty tough road trip, and we're pumped to come 4-1 out of it," said winger Cole Caufield, who buried the game-tying goal in the third period Saturday.

Rookie goaltender Jakub Dobes was stellar between the pipes, stopping 22 of 23 shots. The 23-year-old Czech product owns a .982 save percentage in two appearances after recording a 33-save shutout in his NHL debut against Florida.
The Canadiens head back home to take on the Vancouver Canucks on Monday.
