The collision occurred with two minutes remaining in the extra frame. Spencer Martin replaced Kochetkov for the remainder of the game, which Columbus won in a shootout.
Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind'Amour didn't have an update on Kochetkov after the loss but acknowledged the concerning nature of the play.
"It didn't look great," Brind'Amour said, per Chip Alexander of the Raleigh News and Observer.
The Hurricanes recently lost goaltender Frederik Andersen for 8-12 weeks due to knee surgery. Martin will likely take on starting responsibilities if Kochetkov misses time.
Kochetkov entered Saturday 10-2-0 on the season with a .907 save percentage.
