Detroit Red Wings goaltender Ville Husso cleared waivers Sunday.
Husso allowed four goals on 14 shots Thursday in his lone appearance this season against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The 29-year-old is in the third and final season of a three-year contract carrying a $4.75-million cap hit.
The Red Wings signed Husso to be their No. 1 goalie after he posted a .919 save percentage in 40 games with the St. Louis Blues in 2021-22, but he's largely been a disappointment since joining. He owned an .895 save percentage in 75 appearances across the previous two seasons.
Detroit is expected to roll with the tandem of Cam Talbot and Alex Lyon between the pipes.
