Adam Fantilli is expected to suit up for Team Canada at the 2023 World Championship, reports Sportsnet's Jeff Marek.
The 18-year-old won the Hobey Baker Award as the NCAA's top player in 2023 after recording 30 goals and 35 assists in 36 games for Michigan this past season.
Fantilli is the consensus No. 2 prospect available for the 2023 NHL Draft after Connor Bedard, who reportedly won't play for Canada at the World Championship.
The tournament will mark the second time Fantilli represents his country on the international stage in 2023. He recorded five points in seven games at the world juniors in January, helping Canada win gold.
The World Championship begins May 12 and takes place in Latvia and Finland.
