Coyotes reveal new 'Desert Night' 3rd jersey
The Arizona Coyotes unveiled their new "Desert Night" alternate uniform Wednesday.
The burgundy threads feature Kachina-style striping and were created by fashion designer Rhuigi Villasenor.

The team said the sand-colored star located above the "i" in "Arizona" represents a shooting star during a desert night when coyotes hunt. It's also meant to be symbolic of the Arizona state flag.

Additionally, the captain's "C" patch will be made up of a half-moon, which is seen on the shoulders of the standard home and away uniforms. The alternate captain's "A" patch will resemble a cactus.

The Coyotes will wear the new uniform 14 times throughout the remainder of the 2022-23 regular season, beginning Jan. 22 against the Vegas Golden Knights.
