Montreal Canadiens forward Josh Anderson was suspended two games by the NHL Department of Player Safety for boarding Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Alex Pietrangelo on Saturday.
Anderson received a five-minute major and a game misconduct on the play.
Pietrangelo, who also received a two-minute minor for his part in the skirmish, was bleeding from his nose but stayed in the game.
This marks the first time Anderson has been suspended in his nine-year NHL career. He's eligible to return to the lineup Saturday against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
