The Montreal Canadiens re-signed unrestricted free-agent forward Rem Pitlick to a two-year deal, the team announced Saturday.
The contract carries a cap hit of $1.1 million, per Sportsnet's Eric Engels.
Pitlick is coming off a stellar campaign in which he finished 11th among rookie skaters in goals (15) and points (37) in 66 games split between the Habs and Minnesota Wild. Montreal claimed him off waivers from the Wild in January.
The 25-year-old was originally a third-round pick by the Nashville Predators in 2016.
