Montreal Canadiens forward Cedric Paquette received a two-game suspension for boarding Anaheim Ducks center Trevor Zegras on Sunday, the league announced Monday.
Paquette was handed a five-minute major and game misconduct on the play. This marks the second time the league has suspended him in his nine-year career. The 28-year-old was given a one-game suspension for a boarding hit on Torey Krug in 2017.
Zegras initially left the game but later returned. The 2019 ninth overall pick has recorded a pair of goals and three assists over 10 games this season.
