The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed forward Sean Kuraly to a four-year contract with an average annual value of $2.5 million, the team announced Wednesday.

Kuraly, a native of Ohio, has played all five of his NHL seasons with the Boston Bruins.

The 28-year-old is a solid penalty killer but doesn't offer much offensive production:

Kuraly posted nine points in 47 games last season while averaging 14 minutes of ice time per night. He's notched 68 points in 270 career contests.
