Edmonton Oilers forward Zach Hyman exited Monday's game against the Detroit Red Wings with an apparent head injury.

Hyman was assisted off the ice after taking a hit from Red Wings defenseman Andreas Englund in the second period.

Hyman missed the first six games of the season with an upper-body injury sustained in the preseason.

The 34-year-old had one goal in five contests entering Monday's game.

The Oilers are also without forwards Matt Savoie, Jason Dickinson, Mattias Janmark, defensemen Mattias Ekholm and Alec Regula, and goaltender Frederik Andersen due to injuries.
