New York Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin is considered day-to-day while recovering from a broken rib he suffered in a car accident on Feb. 23, the team announced Thursday.

Shesterkin, 24, was a full participant during Thursday's skate and did not have any restrictions.

Since joining the club in January, Shesterkin has authored a 9-1-0 record with a 2.23 goals-against average and a .940 save percentage to help the Rangers get back into the playoff race.

The team has gone 2-3-0 since Shesterkin went down, however, while allowing 3.6 goals per game. Netminders Alexandar Georgiev and Henrik Lundqvist produced a combined .892 save percentage in those contests.

New York sits four points back of the final Eastern Conference wild-card berth entering Thursday's action.
