Maple Leafs' Muzzin declares he'll be 'good to go' Tuesday vs. Kings
Jake Muzzin says he's ready to return to the lineup in time to face his former team.
The Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman expects to play against the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday night after missing Saturday's win over the Philadelphia Flyers for personal reasons.
"Feeling good ... pretty much 100 percent, so I'll be good to go," Muzzin told reporters after taking part in practice Monday.
Muzzin left a loss to the Washington Capitals on Oct. 29 with a charley horse, Maple Leafs head coach Mike Babcock confirmed postgame.
The 30-year-old blue-liner has never faced the Kings, with whom he spent parts of eight seasons before Los Angeles traded him to Toronto on Jan. 28 for a package including a first-round pick.
Muzzin has nine points in 14 games with the Leafs in 2019-20 and ranks fourth on the club in average ice time at 21:51.
