Pittsburgh Penguins star Evgeni Malkin is listed day-to-day with an upper-body injury and will not play this weekend, head coach Mike Sullivan announced Friday.

"We are hopeful that this is a short-term thing and he’ll be back in our lineup soon," Sullivan added.

Pittsburgh is scheduled to take on the Ottawa Senators at home on Friday night before traveling to Toronto to clash with the Maple Leafs on Saturday.

The 2012 Hart Trophy winner is currently tied for second in team scoring with 14 goals and 55 points in 50 games this season.
