The Calgary Flames signed former Carolina Hurricanes forward Derek Ryan to a three-year contract Sunday, the club announced.
The deal will pay the 31-year-old a total of $9.375 million.
Ryan scored 15 goals and had 38 points last season. He rejoins former head coach Bill Peters, who is the new bench boss in Calgary, and reunites with Noah Hanifin and Elias Lindholm, who were traded to the Flames at the draft.
The Flames also signed forward Austin Czarnik, 25, to a two-year contract worth $2.5 million.
Czarnik was an AHL All-Star last season, recording 69 points in 64 games, good for third in league scoring.
Finally, the Flames re-signed defenseman Dalton Prout to a one-year deal worth $800,000.
