Lightning's Cory Conacher: Headed to AHL
Conacher was sent down to the minors Monday.
Analysis:
With the Lightning's season over while the Crunch are still chasing the Calder Cup, Conacher was one of five Tampa Bay players reassigned to AHL Syracuse. The winger is currently tied for the team lead in points (56) and will have three remaining games to secure that honor outright. Given his heavy usage at the end of the year, the 27-year-old should probably be considered a favorite to secure a spot on the 23-man roster for the start of the 2017-18 campaign.
