Kindl's future with the Wings is murky, MLive.com reports.
The addition of Kyle Quincey ate into his playing time down the stretch, and the Wings would like to see more grit from Kindl if he's going to stick on their blue line. If he's a part of the plan in 2012-13, look for him to work as half of the team's third defensive pairing. As a depth option, he could simply continue to serve as the seventh blueliner next season and become the first option in should injuries strike. Kindl had 13 points (1 G, 12 A) and a plus-7 rating in 55 games this season.
