DiPietro (groin) hasn't played since Oct. 14 in Germany, according to the Islanders Point Blank.
It was originally reported that DP suffered a groin injury, a report he denied, yet he's not playing in any games, and what makes matters even more curious, he's not dressing as the backup either. Riessersee is learning the hard way what every Islanders fan knows, that relying on DiPietro between the pipes is a fool's errand.
