The Chicago Bears have signed guard Manny Ramirez to a one-year contract, according to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune.
Ramirez had visited with the Bears on Tuesday. He spent the 2015 season with the Detroit Lions after being traded from the Denver Broncos at last year's draft. He started seven of 16 games last season at guard.
The 33-year-old will compete for a starting guard job with Matt Slauson and Cornelius Edison.
Ramirez brings some inter-division information from the Lions. He could have more value during the week of practice and game planning than he does on the field.
