Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch is officially active for Sunday's divisional-round matchup with the Carolina Panthers.
Lynch is making his highly anticipated return to the field after sitting out an eighth consecutive game last week while continuing to rehab from surgery to repair a sports hernia.
Though the Seahawks haven't said whether he'll take on a feature role as part of the backfield rotation, all indications are that he's indeed approaching full strength in his recovery.
The five-time Pro Bowler appeared in seven games prior to the injury, recording 111 carries for 417 yards and three touchdowns.
Seattle's game-day inactives include RB Bryce Brown, FB Will Tukuafu, OL Mark Glowinski, OL Kristjan Sokoli, LB Eric Pinkins, CB Tye Smith, and DT A.J. Francis.
