New York Jets center Nick Mangold was added to the Pro Bowl on Thursday, replacing Mike Pouncey of the Miami Dolphins.
Pouncey will not participate in the league's all-star game due to a foot injury that kept him out of the Dolphins' final two contests.
It's Mangold's seventh Pro Bowl selection of his 10-year career. The lineman was instrumental in the Jets' offensive resurgence this season, with the club landing just outside the postseason at 10-6.
Mangold will join teammates Brandon Marshall and Darrelle Revis at the Pro Bowl. Muhammad Wilkerson was also selected, but broke his leg in the season finale.
