Johnny Manziel's second season in the NFL has reached a premature conclusion.
Cleveland Browns head coach Mike Pettine announced Thursday that Manziel will not play in Sunday's season finale against the Pittsburgh Steelers due to a concussion.
The Browns are expected to start Austin Davis in Manziel's place.
Pettine said he wouldn't have benched Manziel for a video that emerged of the quarterback singing and possibly holding an alcoholic beverage on Christmas Eve.
Manziel is "a likeable guy, but there are problems there," Pettine told reporters. "We'll talk in the offseason about getting it addressed."
With the Browns holding a top pick in the draft, the team's future at quarterback will likely be one of the offseason's biggest storylines.
