The San Diego Chargers reportedly extended their general manager Tom Telesco's contract prior to the 2015 season, but they didn't approach head coach Mike McCoy with any offer.
"I am happy for Tom (Telesco) but I was not offered a contract," McCoy told reporters after Sunday's loss to the Denver Broncos.
McCoy has one year remaining on his contract, so while it appears Telesco will be the man leading the organization moving forward with his new three-year deal, the head coach's future appears less certain.
At 3-9, the Chargers are all but guaranteed to miss out on the playoffs after back-to-back 9-7 seasons and a postseason victory in 2013.
McCoy emphasized that he is not concerned with his contract or future with the team, and that next week's game is his sole focus.
"I am worrying about this week," McCoy said. "We are going to learn from this film and we are going to go on to next week and keep on fighting, like I have said week in and week out from day one here. That is the only way I know how to do it."
