San Diego Chargers general manager Tom Telesco isn't likely to be part of any potential changes to the organization made after the season ends.
Telesco signed a multi-year contract extension in the summer and will remain with the team moving forward, CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports.
It's a three-year deal that ties Telesco to the team through the 2019 season, according to Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union Tribune. The team reportedly chose not to announce it at the time in order to avoid creating a distraction.
At 3-8, the Chargers are out of the playoff picture and rumored to be headed toward coaching changes, potentially including head coach Mike McCoy.
If the decision to part ways with staff members is made, it seems Telesco will be the one making it, rather than subject to it himself.
