Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford has officially cleared the concussion protocol after sitting out Sunday's loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur told reporters Tuesday.
Despite the apparent progress, the team hasn't made an official decision on its starting signal-caller for Thursday's game against the Detroit Lions.
Bradford was forced from Philadelphia's Week 10 game with both a concussion and shoulder injury. The shoulder, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, remains a concern heading into Thursday.
Mark Sanchez got the start in place of Bradford this past week, throwing for 261 yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions in a disastrous 45-17 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Falling to a disappointing 4-6 mark has Philadelphia heading into its Thanksgiving Day matchup desperately in need of a win to avoid falling out of the NFC playoff race.
