The Washington Redskins signed free-agent running back Christine Michael to their practice squad Thursday, the team announced.

Michael, a former second-round pick of the Seattle Seahawks, spent the majority of the 2015 season with the Dallas Cowboys before being released Tuesday.

The talented 25-year-old was unable to live up to expectations at each stop, recording just 305 rushing yards in his 19 games over that span.

With Alfred Morris, Matt Jones, and Chris Thompson already giving the Redskins a strong group of running backs, Michael would likely only be promoted to the active roster in the event of an injury.
