Cardinals' Stanton overwhelmed by reaction to sideline dance

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Drew Stanton danced along the sideline as running back Andre Ellington broke free for a touchdown late in the team's victory against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday night.

Stanton combined a glorious array of dance moves, from the windmill to the high kick, and unintentionally captured the imagination of the Internet, which loves nothing more than an incredibly excited sportsman dancing like a weird uncle at a wedding.

"I’ve gotten so many responses from people who say, 'I watched that over and over again and couldn't stop laughing," Stanton said to Dan Bickley of the Arizona Republic. "I laughed, too. I watched it a handful of times. That was the pure emotion of, 'You know what? We're going to win this game.'"

While the Internet sensation was greeted with adoration by fans online, Stanton's coaches and teammates didn't rate his dancing as highly.

"No, and I really wouldn't like to see them again,” said head coach Bruce Arians, according to Adam Green of Arizona Sports, when asked if he knew Stanton had such dance moves. "They weren't really pretty."

Starting quarterback Carson Palmer was slightly more supportive than his coach.

"Umm, strong to quite strong, I think," said Palmer when asked to grade his teammate's moves. "It was just all heart."

You be the judge. Let's see the clip again, in all its glory.
