Pittsburgh Steelers star running back Le'Veon Bell has suffered a torn MCL and will likely be placed on season-ending injured reserve, as originally reported by Steelers Depot and later confirmed by Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports.
Bell reportedly underwent an MRI on Sunday, which revealed the torn MCL, along with "other damage," reports Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
The Steelers will re-evaluate Bell on Monday, but are expected to place him on season-ending injured reserve.
Bell was carted to the locker room in the loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday after his right leg was twisted badly as he was tackled by two defenders.
The loss of the running back is a catastrophic blow to the Steelers, as Bell has carried the team's offense in quarterback Ben Roethlisberger's absence.
The Steelers will also reportedly bring in free-agent running back Isaiah Pead for a workout Monday, as a potential replacement for Bell.
