Justin Hunter found not guilty on assault and battery charges

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Justin Hunter was found not guilty Tuesday on a charge of assault and battery stemming from a Virginia Beach bar fight, Gabriella DeLuca of NewsChannel 3 reports.
Hunter was initially facing a felony charge of malicious wounding for his role in the brawl, which occurred during the early morning hours July 3. The charge was later reduced to a misdemeanor.

Prosecutors had accused Hunter of sucker-punching another patron at the Sandbar Surf Bar.
Hunter tweeted thanks to his supporters after the verdict was delivered.
