The Oakland Raiders fear safety Nate Allen suffered a torn ACL early in Sunday's season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Further tests will determine the severity of Allen's injury, and the confirmation of an ACL tear would bring an end to his 2015 campaign.

After spending the first five seasons of his career with the Philadelphia Eagles, Allen joined the Raiders this offseason on a four-year, $23-million contract.

He entered Week 1 in a starting safety role opposite veteran Charles Woodson, who was also forced to the sideline and is scheduled to undergo an MRI on his injured shoulder.
