Meredith won a roster spot with the Bears after final cuts were announced Saturday, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Analysis:
The undrafted rookie entered training camp as one of the biggest long shots to crack the roster, but injuries to Kevin White (shin), Alshon Jeffery (calf), Eddie Royal (hip), and Marquess Wilson (hamstring) allowed Meredith to stick around longer than expected. He impressed the coaching staff with his good size and hands and willingness to block, but he could be at risk of being cut once some of those other receivers regain full health.
