Cleveland Browns wide receiver Terrelle Pryor won't play in Saturday's preseason contest against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the team announced.

Pryor, who returned to practice Wednesday after missing most of August with a hamstring injury, was thought to have a 50-50 shot of playing.

It's a disappointing development for both the Browns and Pryor, as both parties hoped to see the converted quarterback prove he's worthy of earning a roster spot as a wideout.
