Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson is active for Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions despite being listed as questionable the day prior with an illness.
Peterson wasn't expected to be forced to the sideline, but his status was relatively unclear after the late-week addition to Minnesota's injury report.
Currently the NFL's seventh-ranked rusher, Peterson should be in line for his usual featured role in the Vikings' offensive backfield.
The six-time Pro Bowler may be in line for another productive week as he goes up against a Lions defense surrendering 120.7 rushing yards per game.
Defensive end Everson Griffen, who had been dealing with an illness earlier in the week, is also active and will play.
