Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning composed a nondescript performance in his preseason debut against the Houston Texans.

Manning is trying to adapt to a new offensive system under head coach Gary Kubiak. In his first game action of the year, Manning went 8-of-14 for 52 yards, failing to put the Broncos on the board during the first half.

The Broncos superstar gave way to his backup Brock Osweiler during the second quarter.

Osweiler immediately hit the ground running, connecting with Andre Caldwell on a 57-yard touchdown.

Although Manning's starting spot surely isn't in jeopardy, Osweiler's strong preseason must inspire confidence for Broncos fans and management alike.
