Philadelphia Eagles running back DeMarco Murray lived up to top billing in his preseason debut Saturday against the Baltimore Ravens, scoring a two-yard touchdown in the first quarter.

Murray scored off a draw play, going untouched in the end zone.

His running mate Ryan Mathews put the Eagles on the board with a 14-yard touchdown early in the first quarter.

In the first half, the Eagles attempted to evenly distribute carries between Murray, Mathews, and Darren Sproles. Murray finished with 17 yards on five carries as the Eagles defeated the Ravens 40-17.

Murray, the NFL's reigning rushing champion, was held out of the team's preseason opener last week against the Indianapolis Colts with an undisclosed ailment.
