New York Jets tight end Jace Amaro suffered a shoulder injury Thursday against the Detroit Lions and will not return.
Amaro was expected to play a larger role in the Jets' offense entering his second professional season.
In his rookie campaign, Amaro recorded 38 receptions for 345 yards and two touchdowns.
