Report: Seahawks' Chancellor, Bennett considering holding out during training camp
The Seattle Seahawks may be without a member of their "Legion of Boom" when they open training camp Friday.
Unhappy with his current contract, Kam Chancellor is considering holding out during camp, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The 27-year-old safety is owed a base salary of $4.55 million in 2015 as part of the four-year, $28-million extension he signed with the Seahawks in 2013.
Chancellor, a 2010 fifth-round pick of the Seahawks, has started 61 games over the past five seasons, racking up 398 tackles, two sacks, and eight interceptions.
Defensive end Michael Bennett also wants more money and is mulling his options, but is more likely to report to camp, Rapoport reports. Bennett admitted in June that a holdout is "definitely possible."
