Tom Brady has stayed relatively mum on the subject of "Deflategate," but those around the New England Patriots quarterback sense a spark within him.
"I mean, he's fired up. We'll say that," teammate Julian Edelman said Saturday at his football camp at Reading Memorial High School, via Mark Daniels of the Providence Journal. "You don't want a mad Tom Brady. He's a little ticked off."
Former Patriots safety Rodney Harrison gave a very similar response, saying Brady's "going to make everybody pay for what's happened."
As of Saturday, 24 days have passed since Brady's appeal of his four-game suspension. He and the NFLPA are reportedly prepared to challenge the NFL in federal court if the suspension isn't entirely overturned.
Edelman, however, has other things on his mind as training camp nears.
"You know, I'm not even thinking about that," he said. "Right now, I have 10 more days to keep on getting ready for camp. I'm going to worry about what I can do to put myself in the best situation to help this team. Whatever happens, it happens. I'm sure our coaches will have their thing and have us prepared either way."
