Report: Bills' Rex Ryan showing more enthusiasm for Tyrod Taylor than Matt Cassel
Matt Cassel continues to look like the odd man out in the Buffalo Bills' three-headed quarterback race.
Bills head coach Rex Ryan has shown a "greater enthusiasm" for Tyrod Taylor than for Cassel, and has had his eye on Taylor for much longer, according to Vic Carucci of the Buffalo News.
Additionally, Carucci reports that while Ryan had a say in the Bills' acquisition of Cassel from the Minnesota Vikings in March, he hand-picked Taylor himself.
Ryan admitted earlier this offseason that he tried to trade for Taylor while he was still coaching the New York Jets, and said he considers him one of the fastest quarterbacks in the NFL.
Taylor hasn't had much of an opportunity to show off that speed yet, as he has spent his entire four-year NFL career backing up Joe Flacco in Baltimore. But the Bills appear to be giving him every opportunity to win the starting job.
