The Indianapolis Colts are keeping Andrew Luck's backup around for at least another year.
Indy announced on Thursday evening that it's signed Matt Hasselbeck to a one-year contract extension.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting that the deal is worth $3 million.
Bringing back the 39-year-old gives the Colts an experienced veteran behind Luck. Hasselbeck appeared in seven games with the Colts over the past two seasons, throwing two touchdowns and one interception.
