Report: Jameis Winston undergoing tests for minor issue in throwing shoulder
Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston is arguably the top quarterback in this year's draft, but there appear to be some concerns about his health at the NFL Scouting Combine.
Winston missed his scheduled press conference Thursday due to some extended medical examinations and, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, he has undergone further testing to determine why he is experiencing weakness in his throwing shoulder.
As Mortensen explains, shoulder weakness can be caused by a nerve issue and treated by therapy if deemed necessary.
While multiple reports have characterized the issue as minor, questions about Winston's health certainly create a situation worth monitoring going forward.
Scheduled to speak to the media Friday afternoon, Winston will have an opportunity to publicly address the condition of his shoulder and whether or not the latest developments will impact his decision to participate in on-field throwing drills Saturday.
