Seattle Seahawks safety Earl Thomas will undergo offseason surgery on his shoulder after playing the Super Bowl with a fully torn labrum, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Thomas is expected to be 100 percent healthy for training camp, but a six-to-eight-month recovery period is not out of the question.

The Seahawks were extremely banged up during Super Bowl XLIX, with Richard Sherman needing Tommy John surgery and Kam Chancellor playing through a torn MCL.

Thomas finished 2014 with 97 tackles, one interception and three forced fumbles.
