Richard Sherman's pregnant girlfriend says he'll play in Super Bowl
Richard Sherman's pregnant girlfriend says the Seattle Seahawks cornerback will play in Sunday's Super Bowl regardless of whether or not the baby comes early.
Ashley Moss, who is due to deliver her first child with Sherman on Feb. 12, told Seattle's NBC affiliate that she doesn't anticipate going into labor until after the big game. But if the baby boy comes early, she expects Sherman to make a quick exit.
"I guess we'll have a Super Bowl baby," Moss said, according to the Associated Press. "And if you see Richard heading for the locker room right after it hits 0:00 in the fourth quarter, don't be surprised."
Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said Friday that it will be Sherman's decision whether he plays Sunday.
"I can't wait to see little Petey," Carroll added.
